The NH3/CO2 cascade refrigeration system is a state-of-the-art dual-stage solution, consisting of a high-temperature stage utilizing NH3 as the refrigerant and a low-temperature stage employing CO2. In this seamless integration, the evaporative cooling of NH3 in the high-temperature system effectively condenses the CO2 refrigerant gas from the low-temperature stage. A sophisticated condensing evaporator bridges these two stages, serving as both the condenser in the low-temperature level and the evaporator in the high-temperature level, ensuring top-notch efficiency and reliability.
Within this advanced system, thermal energy is adeptly transferred to the CO2 refrigerant via the end evaporator. This absorbed heat is then passed on to the NH3 refrigerant through the condensing evaporator. Subsequently, the high-temperature NH3 efficiently transfers the heat to a high-temperature condenser, where it's seamlessly released into the environment through a cooling medium. The condensed CO2 is systematically routed to the CO2 reservoir, progressing through a dryer filter and throttle valve, finally arriving at the CO2 gas-liquid separator. Here, the liquid CO2 is expertly delivered to the CO2 evaporator by the CO2 circulation pump, ensuring a continuous, end-to-end cooling process. Post-evaporation, the two-phase CO2 cycles back to the separator, while the gaseous CO2 is drawn by the compressor and reintegrated into the condensing evaporator, perpetuating the efficient cascade refrigeration cycle.

The high-temperature NH3 system mirrors a conventional setup, complete with a refrigeration compressor, condenser, liquid storage, gas-liquid separator, and a throttling device for optimal performance. The low-temperature CO2 system is equally comprehensive, featuring a CO2 compressor, condensing evaporator, reservoir, gas-liquid separator, filter dryer, circulation pump, throttling device, evaporator, and expansion vessel, all meticulously designed for superior cooling efficiency.

In the NH3/CO2 cascade system, the condensing evaporator doubles as the NH3-side evaporator and CO2-side condenser, where compound liquids evaporate to absorb heat, and CO2 gas transforms into a liquid within the shell.
