In this sophisticated system, the heat load is efficiently transferred to the CO2 refrigerant via the end evaporator. The CO2 refrigerant, having absorbed this heat, subsequently transfers it to the high-temperature NH3 refrigerant through the condensing evaporator. The NH3 refrigerant then elegantly transfers the accumulated heat to the high-temperature condenser, releasing it into the environment with grace and efficiency through a cooling medium. As the CO2 condenses in the condensing evaporator, it journeys to the CO2 reservoir before venturing into the CO2 gas-liquid separator, with the aid of a dryer filter and throttle valve. The cycle continues as liquid CO2 is propelled to the CO2 evaporator by the CO2 circulation pump, bypassing additional cooling devices. Post-evaporation, the two-phase CO2 returns to the gas-liquid separator, where gaseous CO2 is aspirated by the compressor, compressed, and returned to the condensing evaporator, thus perpetuating this seamless cascade refrigeration cycle.

In the NH3/CO2 cascade system, the condensing evaporator doubles as an evaporator on the NH3 side and a condenser on the CO2 side, with compound liquid evaporating to absorb heat within, while CO2 gas condenses into liquid in the shell.
