1. The Ingenious Principle of NH3/CO2 Cascade Refrigeration System
Our NH3/CO2 cascade refrigeration system is a sophisticated two-part mechanism designed for optimal thermal management. The system consists of a high-temperature stage utilizing NH3 as a refrigerant, and a low-temperature stage employing CO2. The inventive process involves NH3 evaporation in the high-temperature segment to effectively condense CO2 gas expelled from the low-temperature section. A specialized condensation evaporator forms a vital link between the two temperature stages, acting dually as the condenser in the low-temperature area and the evaporator in the high-temperature zone, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency.
Within our advanced system, heat is efficiently transferred to the CO2 refrigerant via the end evaporator. The absorbed heat is then passed on to the high-temperature NH3 refrigerant through a condensing evaporator, which subsequently relays it to a high-temperature condenser for release into the environment via a cooling medium. Post-condensation, CO2 enters the reservoir before moving through the gas-liquid separator via a dryer filter and throttle valve. The liquid CO2 is propelled to the evaporator by a circulation pump, whereupon it returns to the gas-liquid separator as a two-phase substance. The gaseous CO2 is compressed back into the condensing evaporator, perpetuating an effective and continuous cascade refrigeration cycle.
In our NH3/CO2 cascade refrigeration system, each temperature level functions as an independent refrigeration system with a single refrigerant. The high-temperature NH3 system mirrors conventional designs and includes a refrigeration compressor, condenser, liquid storage, gas-liquid separator, and throttling device. Meanwhile, the low-temperature CO2 system features components such as a CO2 compressor, condensing evaporator, reservoir, gas-liquid separator, filter dryer, pump, throttling device, evaporator, and expansion vessel, all orchestrated for superior refrigeration performance.
The The CO2 gas-liquid separator in our system expertly separates droplets from the evaporator, preventing compressor wet strokes and maintaining a stable liquid level during pump operation. It also stores liquid return when the pump halts. When used as a reservoir, it efficiently contains all CO2 liquid system-wide. An auxiliary evaporator atop the separator prevents excessive CO2 pressure post-shutdown. Importantly, our condensing evaporator doubles as both NH3 side evaporator and CO2 side condenser, with compound liquid evaporating and absorbing heat inside the tubes while condensing CO2 gas to a liquid in the shell, ensuring operational excellence.
