6. Ammonia has a distinctive pungent odor, making leak detection straightforward through smell, leak test paper, and test drugs. Humans can detect it at concentrations as low as 50mg/m³.
7. Insoluble in mineral oil, ammonia easily separates from oil at low temperatures. With a lower density than oil, it allows refrigeration oil to settle below the ammonia liquid, facilitating convenient oil return to the refrigeration system.
