A masterpiece of engineering, the condensation evaporator seamlessly connects the high and low temperature levels, serving dual roles as the condenser for the low temperature stage and the evaporator for the high temperature stage.
In a symphony of thermal dynamics, the heat load is beautifully transferred to the CO2 refrigerant via the end evaporator, with the CO2 refrigerant's absorbed heat cascading to the high-temperature NH3 refrigerant through the condensing evaporator. This NH3 refrigerant then gracefully transfers the amassed heat to the high-temperature condenser, releasing it effortlessly to the environment through an efficient cooling medium. The condensed CO2, having completed its journey in the condensing evaporator, proceeds to the CO2 reservoir, eventually making its way to the CO2 gas-liquid separator through a dryer filter and throttle valve. Liquid CO2 embarks on its mission to the CO2 evaporator, propelled by the CO2 circulation pump, sans any end cooling device. As it exits the evaporator, the CO2 returns in a two-phase state to the gas-liquid separator, where the gaseous CO2 is gently guided by the compressor, compressed into the condensing evaporator. This continuous cycle culminates the sophisticated cascade refrigeration process.
